Troubadour and More!

troubadour_marqueeSM

Their Troubadour show was awesome!  May Michelle and Cyrus lit up the stage, where John Mayer had stood only four nights before, and rocked the top songs off their debut album “Semantics“.  The all ages crowd chimed in enthusiastically as the band played “Kill You” and “Viperman” and cried out for an encore.  Needless to say it was great night for Eloise fans old and new!

Catch Eloise next at the Silverlake Lounge on Septemember 10th, the Gypsy Lounge on September 11th and the 18th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture September 12-13.

The Album

For May Ann Pescante, Michelle Torrez and Cyrus Butler, it was the culmination of three years of finding the time and money to be in the studio. But because so much time had passed since the beginning of the project, the band had found that their songs had completely transformed from what they originally had in mind. "After so much time," May explains, "everything just started to sound so different from what we had originally intended. It felt different, and then it started to mean different things. Semantics is all about meaning and changes in meaning --that title felt appropriate."
